Raking the Walls

Once you stop getting full buckets of dirt its time to rake the face and walls (APMS). Always move the bucket from top to bottom along the walls, remembering not to raise the bucket too high and make contact with the backs. When you finish, take a few more buckets out before moving onto the face.

As with the walls, when you rake the face be careful not to hit the backs.

How long do you rake the face for?

Until you can’t get any more off it.

To rake the face move the bogger into position and select neutral and engage the service(foot)brakes, at half noise pull the bucket down the face. You will need to release the brake as the bucket comes down.
