The Pre Start Meeting

The reason we have the pre start meeting is to:

Issue the instructions. These instructions may be required to be issued by a professional and if that is you then you need to be prepared for questions.

Point out the hazards in the work places. If you are pointing out a hazard at this meeting please make sure that you have made an attempt to fix the problem yourself or if you have handed the problem over to a shift boss, check with the shift boss first.

Discuss safety issues. Again with safety isses if you feel you have had a close call underground then you need to report it to the shift boss first.
