Parking Underground
As professionals you will be required to drive a manual underground ute, a Toyota on most mines, make sure you do your prestart before going and check in with the on duty shift boss. The ute’s will be locked out to 3rd gear and the APMS on most sites is 25km/hour.
When parking underground all vehicles need to be parked into the wall with the wheels facing the wall as well, park brake on and flashing light going APMS. The same standard applies to heavy vehicles, however if in a bogger the bucket must be on the ground and turned into the wall.
